Welcome
Ms. Adinaro enjoyed
hunting with Rombout and being a successful competitor in
the show ring since 1960. Her passion for horses has lead
her down the path to become a well-respected riding
instructor.
Carla teaches her rider's the skills to communicate clearly
and effectively with the horse in order to enable them to
achieve a partnership and perform like a team, whether in
the show ring or on the trails, with Centered Riding,
Balanced Seat and Dressage. This goal ensures that the
horse has confidence in his rider and thereby becomes a
safer horse to ride.
With a formal education
including a B.A. in Biology and a B.S. in History, Ms.
Adinaro is certified by the ARIA (American Riding Instructor
Association) in Dressage and has successfully completed the
Pace University Riding Instructor course. Ms. Adinaro has
had the pleasure of training with some of the finest horse
people, Micheal Poulin (Olympian medalist); Janet
Black ( trained/taugh to FEI levels); Emily Gershberg (USDF
certified instructor to Fourth level); Lendon Gray (Olympian
medialst) and Mary Straz (trained/taught to the FEI levels).
Her list of successes is
impressive having bred/raised and shown Thoroughbred
Conformation Hunters at Devon, Sugartown, Warrenton,
Upperville and Goldens Bridge.
Light The Way - 1st at Goldens Bridge as a foal, Leading
yearling, 2 yr old, and 3 yr old in zone 8 (Virginia)
Romanayes - 1st at Goldens Bridge as a foal, 2nd at Devon, 3rd
at The International Hunter Futurity as a yearling
Roman Gold - 3rd at Devon as a yearling, 2nd at Devon as a 2
yr old, 2nd a Devon as a 3 yr old
By The light - 3rd at Devon as a yearling
Torch Song - 1st at Devon, 1st at Upperville, 1st at Sugartown,
1st at Warrenton as a yearling AND 2 yr old
On a Whim - 4th at Devon as a 3 yr old
Rondezvous - 2nd at Devon as a 3 yr old
Fleetwood Dream - champion young horse at the Litchfield Colt
and Horse Show as a weanling
Managed Goose Creek Farm- TB breeding and racing
Trips to TB sales (including New Market Sales in England) for the
purpose of selling yearlings, buying young stock (pinhooking) and buying
breeding stock
Managed Muckross Farm (Paris, KY) - TB breeding and racing
Trips to TB sales for purpose of selling yearlings, pinhooking
and buying breeding stock
Managed Altamont Farm- Private farm with private horses and a
private collection of minor and rare breeds (less than 1200 existing) of
farm animals
Her diversified experience includes being an assistant trainer for
reining and cutting horses, working for "Mr. Cass" (August Casscone -
President of the Long Island Quarter Horse) and teaching at such
noted stables as High Point Farm, Frog Hollow Farm, Green Heron Farm and
Locust Hill Farm.
